The Inter-institutional Doctorate in Art and Culture program aims to train duly trained specialists in the analysis, research and dissemination of culture and art, from the local and regional spheres of Mexico to the adequate and necessary reflection on these issues in a global dimension. Although Latin American culture and art are proposed as a fundamental object of study, the links that this geographical area has with other cultural systems are not excluded in any way. Around art (and its specific disciplines, from literature to theatre; from performing arts such as dance to cinema; from oral traditions to avant-garde art and design) and culture (in its broadest sense and understanding, that is).
