The applicant to pursue the Doctorate in Economic Studies must show interest in analyzing economic problems from an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary perspective. In this context, the entry profile requires that the applicant have:

Admission requirements

Undergraduate

79+
  • Certificate of TOEFL (ITP) exam with a minimum score of 550 or TOEFL (IBI) with a minimum score of 79 points.
  • Pass the entrance interview.
  • Have a master's degree or a certificate of qualification with a minimum average of 80 (Eighty) its equivalent.
  • Take the EXANI III exam.
  • Motive statement letter explaining the reasons why you intend to enter the program.
  • Submit a research proposal of no more than 3 pages explaining the reasons and relevance of the proposed topic, possible research questions and a basic bibliography.
  • Submit two academic letters of recommendation.
  • Have availability to be a full-time student, during the four years of the doctoral program.
  • Comply with the other criteria established at the time by the Academic Board of the doctoral program. As well as what is stipulated by the General Regulations for Student Admission and by the General Postgraduate Regulations of the University of Guadalajara.
