The Doctorate program in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, at the Los Valles University Center of the University of Guadalajara, was created with three orientations: Mathematics, Nanosciences* and Digital Signal Processing.
This program emphasizes the development of a research project, which will require full-time availability on the part of the student. This Program lasts three years, in which the student must obtain 156 credits according to the current study plan, will demonstrate their research work through material published in indexed journals and will complete a Thesis to obtain the title.
Physics and mathematics help to understand the processes in the different sciences and engineering, either through the qualitative information of the phenomenon represented or the quantitative information obtained. Digital signal processing is important for the technological development of the country, because it is widely used in robotic systems, optics, industrial control equipment, security and surveillance, telecommunications, satellite systems and medicine, among others. Nanotechnology and nanoscience are recurrently occupying the center of attention as avenues of scientific progress, offering promising advances in various fields of knowledge.
