The Master's Degree in Business and Economic Studies was created in 1996, with the intention of training high-level researchers and teachers, specialized in the study of business, necessary to generate the knowledge and train the human resources required to face the challenges. associated with a highly competitive and unstable economic environment.
The novelty of its approach, in the sense that the economic perspective is integrated with that of business, and the quality of its academic staff allowed this program to be admitted to the National Register of Quality Postgraduate Programs practically from its creation ( At that time called the National Register of Postgraduate Excellence) of Conacyt, where it is currently considered a Consolidated Program, with a research focus.
Currently, the Master's Degree in Business and Economic Studies constitutes a reference program at the national level, and is the only one in its approach that is considered a Consolidated Program in the PNPC. Despite the time that has passed, and the number of students accumulated in the 23 generations of graduates, it can be seen that the demand for researchers and teachers with a high level of training, specialized in the field of business continues to grow, and is expected that this trend will continue.
In this sense, the program has consolidated its prestige and its focus, in addition to maintaining its validity, and is aligned with those taught in various internationally renowned universities, a situation that has led to this program being considered one of the best. alternatives on a national scale to carry out studies prior to entry into national and international doctoral programs.

  • Bachelor's degree or degree certificate and proof of completion of social service degree.
  • Accredit, through a record of at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference or its Equivalent, reading and oral comprehension of the English language.
  • Approve and cover the cost of the propaedeutic course that will be offered for consideration by the Academic Board.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from academic researchers or directors of higher education institutions.
  • Interview with two professors of the program, individually or simultaneously.
  • Statement of reasons letter.
  • Admission exam, as established by the Academic Board.
  • Those additional ones that establish the corresponding opinion.
