The highest scoring applicants will be selected based on their scores on the "PIENSE II" admissions test and their high school grades. There may be additional requirements based on the program.
As an exchange student, you will have the same rights and obligations as any student of the University of Guadalajara, details of which can be found by reading the Institutional regulations of the University of Guadalajara.
Also, the Department of Scholarships and Exchanges in the University Centre that you will attend is the first port of call during your academic stay at the University of Guadalajara. The staff will help you with the integration process, they will assist in orientating you in regard to the classrooms and services that the University Centre provides, and they will be there to help you with whatever you may need.
It is important that you obtain the student credential; besides serving as an official identification during your stay in Mexico, with it you can obtain special benefits, such as free or reduced-price access to museums and some cinemas, and discounts on local and nationwide transport.

As a student of any institution of higher education in the world, you can choose to study at the University of Guadalajara; if you are part of one of the partner institutions your academic stay at UdeG will be in the form of an exchange. If not, it will be as an independent student.
Exchange students come from a partner institution and benefit from not paying tuition fees at the University of Guadalajara.
Independent students do not receive this benefit and must pay for the tuition fees that the University stipulates.
There are three types of academic stay according to their desired aim: to study predetermined subjects, to participate in research projects or to carry out internships.
