The general objective is to train doctors in Creation and Theories of Culture, capable of generating innovations with academic rigor that serve to rethink art and contemporary cultures through critical products that guarantee their influence in diverse sociocultural environments. Likewise, it seeks to train Doctors who are based on the perspective and methodologies of Cultural Studies, understood as those whose objective is interdisciplinary dialogue, where artistic and sociocultural knowledge analyzes objects of study from different perspectives, through the application of the methodologies and research techniques, both empirical and critical theoretical, of contemporary artistic, cultural and social problems.
