Biomedical Engineering trains professionals with a high academic, theoretical and practical level, who analyze an engineering problem, combine the information of the problem with their knowledge, and through their skills, give it a solution.  Promotes biomedical scientific and technological development in Guatemala through the training of human resources that designs and implements solutions to problems that are on the frontier of medical practice and Engineering. Form human resources that allow greater effectiveness and efficiency of medical practice and better quality of care and quality of life of patients, through the development of biomedical tools and technologies.
