The Specialization in Socioemotional Education aims to equip education specialists with a holistic skill set by fostering the development of socioemotional competencies. Specific objectives include: addressing a range of social needs that remain inadequately addressed within formal education and professional training; developing strategies to prevent emotional disorders, including anxiety and stress, while also regulating impulsive behavior, managing anger, and fostering resilience; and promoting effective and respectful dialogue skills, as well as peaceful conflict resolution techniques. Upon graduation, our alumni exhibit a profound understanding of the psychopedagogical, neurophysiological, and sociocultural underpinnings of emotional expression and behavior. They adeptly apply principles of Emotional Intelligence across diverse contexts, encompassing human development, interpersonal dynamics, educational settings, conflict resolution, and pedagogical practices. Moreover, they demonstrate proficiency in fundamental emotional competencies such as emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and effective communication. Equipped with these skills, they master the intricacies of designing, implementing, and evaluating intervention programs in Socioemotional Education.
