In this Specialty in Teaching Qualification in Mathematics, the study of mathematics is conceived, seeking to fulfill three fundamental functions ( Bugaev, 1989): instructive, developer and educational. The instructive function is decisive since it is intended that the participants obtain knowledge of the fundamentals of physics and mathematical sciences, and that they acquire the skills and habits to use the knowledge in practice. With the developer function we seek the progress of the cognitive possibilities of the students, forming in them the ability to independently complete their knowledge, and orient themselves in the impetuous flow of scientific information that we find today, its gradual conduction to more complex levels from generalization, the mastery of various logical operations and the passage from formal-logical forms of thought to more creative and dialectical ones.
