Veterinary medicine ensures that farmed species are slaughtered in the most humane manner possible and that the derived products are presented in a safe and innocuous manner for consumption.
Why study Veterinary Medicine at UNPHU?
The UNPHU Veterinary School is the oldest private school in the Dominican Republic.
The program lasts four years with three academic periods per year, which means less study time.
Curriculum designed for the theoretical and practical preparation of students in the different areas of medicine and main animal species, both companion and commercial.
It has an experimental farm and a small animal clinic.
The Hipódromo Quinto Centenario facilities, as well as the microbiology, histology, and pathology laboratories of the central veterinary laboratory, are used by students.
Facility for our graduates to conduct internships and training at various hospitals and pet clinics.
