Admission criteria

The following are specific requirements for admission to our doctoral program:

  1. That the official title of degree, bachelor's degree, diploma or equivalent prior to the master's degree required for access to the Doctorate Program (according to what is stated in the previous section) belongs to the branch of knowledge of Social and Legal Sciences, and within them they will have preferably those related to the field of Law, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Education. The CAPD will evaluate individually, in view of the title that the applicant to be admitted to the doctoral program contributes, the need to take training supplements with a maximum of 15 ECTS. In turn, if necessary, among the candidates who meet these conditions, the CAPD will make a selection based on the average grade of their academic record and their curriculum vitae. In addition, for these purposes, it is also considered appropriate to assess the level of adequacy of the thesis draft presented by the candidate to the lines of research that make up the Doctoral Program.
  2. Have a preliminary thesis project related to any of the lines of research that make up the doctoral program, endorsed by a doctor who meets the requirements of Art. 10 of RD 99/2011.
  3. In the case of those students who must take training supplements, pass those training supplements recommended by the CAPD. The realization of these complements will be previous or simultaneous to the enrollment in academic tutelage in the program. In the case of simultaneous completion, students must enroll in these supplements at the time of formalizing the enrollment of academic supervision in the program. In the case of being prior, only these complements will be registered and the Supervision Commitment will not be signed nor will the Activities Document of the doctoral student be opened until it is passed. These credits will not compute for the purposes of the common requirements for access to the doctoral program.
