The main objectives of the Master's Degree Course in Cellular and Molecular Biology (LM-6) are: (i) to increase the cultural preparation and knowledge in the field of basic and applied biology in the cellular and biomolecular field, achieved through an in-depth scientific preparation, also operational, in the disciplines that characterize the course; (ii) give students the opportunity to acquire specific cultural tools and methods of analysis. For this purpose, all the scientific laboratories used by the Degree Program (CdS) are able to provide the necessary skills as the research lines of the teachers of the CdS are consistent with the cultural profile of the Course.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Graduates in Cellular and Molecular Biology acquire in-depth knowledge in the biomolecular and biomedical fields; moreover it matures an integrated understanding of biological phenomena at the morphological-functional, chemical / biochemical / biophysical, cellular / molecular level with reference also to mechanisms of development and heredity.
At the end of the course, graduates will have:
- an excellent up-to-date knowledge of biological problems and experimental methodologies that are adopted in modern research in the molecular and cellular fields, in order to be able to identify the most suitable biological systems and experimental methodologies for the study of specific phenomena;
- broad-spectrum skills on the biology of living systems considering both basic research aspects and potential bio-technological applications;
- mastery of the scientific method and ability to analyze experimental data;
- ability to work in a group with autonomy and responsibility.
