The general objective of the degree course is the training of a master's degree graduate who has high technological and IT skills and is able to operate according to an interdisciplinary vision in the management, planning, enhancement, use of information and communication, in order to to propose solutions to complex problems in digital and cross-media environments. The master's degree course, which represents the natural development of the three-year course in Communication, Technologies and Digital Cultures, therefore deepens the training profiles developed in the first level course in terms of high specialization.

Graduates perform functions related to:
  • design of environments and services for communication, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Open Data
  • community and social media management
  • management of promotional campaigns and online branding
  • storytelling, storymaps, support for cross-media journalism and data journalism
  • museum information and multimedia and audiovisual production, content management.

In summary, among other things, the graduate in Digital Information will be able to deal with: project management of information and cultural content production processes; analysis and control of data and knowledge management platforms; promotion of corporate and institutional innovation; care of textual, multimedia and interactive contents in digital environments; design and implementation of mobile products and apps for information and cultural content; management of digital marketing strategies and online presence for companies and institutions; information planning in the cultural and environmental fields.
Important opportunities for contact with the world of work will be possible through the already structured collaborations that the Department of Humanities, Communication and Tourism (DISUCOM) has with companies, public bodies and institutions in the field of digital communication (among others those with the Repubblica / L'Espresso group, with Vetrya, with Sky, with Skylab Studios, with Il Fatto Quotidiano, with Archeoilibri etc.).
