The UPI Serang Campus PGSD Study Program, S1 level, began accepting new students in 2000. This Study Program is a development of the D2 PGSD Program. Institutionally, this Study Program is under the auspices of the Department of Pedagogy, Faculty of Education. In the academic year 2000 to 2005, the PGSD Study Program only accepted prospective D2 PGSD graduates, both UPI graduates and D2 graduates from State and Private Universities registered with the Directorate General of Higher Education and Kopertis. Along with the increasing demands and needs of the community for S1 PGSD graduates, in 2006, the PGSD Study Program began accepting prospective high school graduates, both those who already had teaching experience and those who did not have teaching experience.
