This master's degree is for you if you wish to become a historian and acquire the knowledge and techniques needed for research into history, and conduct projects and syntheses on contemporary society. These advanced studies in science and methodology will allow you to become a historian and work as a professional in fields in which historical knowledge is a necessity: teaching, journalism, museum management, cultural activities and tourism, publishing, social and political analysis and many more sectors. This master's degree is interuniversitary and includes the participation of eight universities, making it a powerful programme compared to others in Spain and a guarantee of prestige. You can enrol in all modules at the UAB, or choose to take some of them at other participating universities through our interuniversity mobility programmes. This master's degree is also flexible and allows you to combine studies and work, since you can choose to complete it in one or two years.

Most of the courses are taught in English, with an option to learn and improve your Spanish as a Foreign Language. Depending on the regulations of each home university, especially if there is a mobility agreement with the UAB, students will be able to transfer the credits earned during their stay to their current degree.
