This master's degree is especially designed to train highly qualified professionals in the aspects of control, assessment and improvement in the quality and safety of animal source foods. Through a fully comprehensive approach, in which actions taken from the farm to consumers are studied, this master's degree will provide you with the latest knowledge in key factors all along the food processing chain. At a practical level, you will have the opportunity to master the most innovative techniques and methodologies, which will not only be useful in the improvement of food quality, but also in the innovation and development processes of new animal source foods. All together, this will aid you in advancing in your career within a sector offering excellent professional opportunities. The master's degree includes highly specialised lecturers, and its practical sessions are conducted at the UAB's unique facilities, such as its Service of Farms, the pilot plant for food technology and food analysis laboratories. The training is complemented with visits to companies which will allow you to discover the reality of the sector. Finally, the UAB offers you the opportunity to conduct your Final Project during a stay at one of the agro-food companies, or if you prefer, at one of the UAB's facilities located at the Department of Animal and Food Sciences or other public and private institutions and research centres.
