The Master of Research in Art and Design has as its aim the attainment of research skills: to think, rethink, argue and write about issues and problems of the theory and practice of art and design in a broad sense, highlighting performative practices, sound design and research and analysis in creative cuisine. It is not merely a theoretical master, neither a master purely in production or creation, but rather a mixed territory of artistic research. It combines three praxis: the artistic, the design and the discourse. The master is structured around five major lines of research:

  • The comparative study of creative processes
  • Gustatory aesthetics, creative cuisine and food design
  • The sensory perception, the processes of meaning and social interaction (design of atmospheres, sound design and co-design)
  • Memory environments, construction of past and future
  • The design of knowledge, data visualisation and interfaces
