The interuniversity master's degree in Youth and Society is an official higher education recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Spanish Government that aims to present a third-cycle educational offer in the field of research, intervention and public policies in youth. It is a training with an interuniversity and interdisciplinary vocation aimed at professionals, researchers and researchers and teaching personnel who work or aspire to work in this sector. The master has both a professional and research focus. In this sense, according to the subjects chosen in module IV, the practices carried out and the final work developed, the master will train to:

  • The detailed and well-founded understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects as well as the work methodology, the analysis, the direction and the management of youth policies, with all that these entail for the diagnosis, design, application and evaluation of plans, programs. and projects.
  • Direct action with young people and youth work based on integrating specific knowledge, its understanding, its scientific foundation and problem-solving skills in new or imprecisely defined environments.
  • Research in youth studies, from the epistemology, methodology and basic conceptualizations of youth to its main fields of research: history, education, economics, psychology, social participation, leisure, identity, consumption, health, communication and politics of youth.
