The School of Kinesiology and Human Kinetics is one of the largest and fastest growing in the field in Canada.
The diversified training and the excellence of the work of our professors bring knowledge and experience to ÉKSAP.
The objective of the Doctorate in Human Kinetics program is to train autonomous researchers in human kinetics in the fields of movement analysis and biomechanics, neurosciences of movement and physical activity, exercise physiology, physical activity promotion and sports psychology. Students will have to drive their projects, develop their scientific network and make an original contribution to their field of research. They will have to develop in-depth knowledge related to the specific fields and related to their project by taking a critical look at it and with a spirit of synthesis. Drawing on their knowledge and skills, they will develop their own research questions. They will thus be able to clearly communicate and defend the objectives, assumptions and results of their projects in a style adapted to the public. Students will have to ensure that they respect ethical standards and demonstrate integrity in their research work. Finally, they will have to specify their career plan and deploy the appropriate strategies as a researcher or highly qualified personnel.
