Develop the 7 basic skills considered essential to the professional practice of neuropsychology, namely interpersonal relationships, assessment/diagnosis, intervention, research, ethics and professional conduct, consultation and supervision. Lasting 4 years, this is training focused on clinical practice, including several internships (800 hours in total) and a year of full-time internship. Throughout your course, you will have to integrate, within the limits of your expertise, the most recent developments in the advancement of knowledge in scientific psychology. Fundamental to the program are the principles of integrating theory and research into practice.

The program philosophy is based on 5 fundamental values, namely:

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XXVI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.3 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular doctoral student in psychology, clinical neuropsychology option, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (Section XXVI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold a specialized B. Sc. or major in psychology, a specialized B. Sc. in cognitive neuroscience (neuropsychology orientation), or a baccalaureate deemed equivalent with at least 51 credits in psychology.
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.7 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
