The Ph. D. program (psychology - research/intervention) gives access to membership status in the Order of Psychologists of Quebec and the majority of organizations controlling the practice of the profession of psychology in North America. This program is aimed at students who wish to acquire solid dual training in research and professional practice, both in terms of evaluation and intervention. It allows students to acquire high-level professional and research skills in each of its three options: clinical neuropsychology, clinical psychology, work and organizational psychology.

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.3 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Degree accepted: Masters, Masters; duration: 2 years

  • Concordia University: 3.3/4.3

  • McGill University: 3.0/4.0

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular Ph.D. student (psychology - research and intervention), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XX of the Educational Regulations) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold a B. Sc. honors or major in psychology
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.7 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
  • demonstrate a good knowledge of French and English and sufficient knowledge of any other language deemed necessary for the pursuit of your research.
An average of 3.7 or equivalent does not ensure admission.
