The master's program in criminology offers advanced training in several areas of criminology. It aims to offer students a set of courses and seminars relating to the main fields of criminology to lead them to advanced training in one or more of the following areas:
  • theory,
  • research,
  • to analyse,
  • clinical intervention,
  • penal policies.


General Option (with dissertation)

The modality with dissertation in criminology aims to offer students a coherent and balanced set of courses and seminars covering the main sectors of criminology as well as advanced training in research in one or more of the following sectors: theory, clinical intervention, penal policy, analysis.


Criminological analysis option (with internship)

The modality with internship in criminological analysis aims to: ensure optimal continuity between the B. Sc., which is a professional program, and the M. Sc. in order to more adequately meet the needs of interested students through applied research in the specific form of criminological analysis in a problem-solving approach.


Intervention option (with internship)

The option with intervention internship aims to: ensure optimal continuity between the B. Sc., which is a professional program, and the M. Sc. in order to more adequately meet the needs of students interested in a in-depth professional training to increase their competence in the practice of clinical intervention.


Homeland Security Option (with tutorial)

The tutorial modality of the Homeland Security Option aims to train experts who will be able to face the widest possible variety of challenges in the provision and management of security.. It will allow students to mobilize a set of practical knowledge in terms of the protection of spaces, people and information, and above all to understand the nature of these problems.


Criminalistics and information option (with directed work)

The directed work modality of the Criminalistics and information option aims to train experts who will be able to integrate the tools and analysis methods specific to forensic science and criminology, with a view to analyze, prevent and solve criminal and security problems. It will also serve to promote new avenues of research on the criminal phenomenon, at the intersection of two disciplines: forensic science and criminology.


Justice and victims option (with directed work)

The modality with directed work of the justice and victims option aims to train experts who will have in-depth knowledge of the justice system and the penal and judicial care of victims. They will also acquire in-depth knowledge of the laws, penal policies and clinical practices of intervention with victims within the framework of the judicial and parajudicial process of a complaint. This training will serve to promote new avenues of research on criminal justice and the place of victims in it.
