Broadly speaking, the Master of Science in Education (MA) program aims to train students in research. In this respect, this program is the normal route to a doctorate. More specifically, it aims to train researchers in different fields, domains or areas of expertise related to the sciences of education, in particular: administration, andragogy, teaching of different school subjects (arts, French, second languages and foreign languages, mathematics, sciences, humanities), teaching and learning, higher education, the foundations of education, measurement and evaluation in education, educational intervention, remedial education, psychopedagogy, etc.

To be eligible as a regular student in the MA program in education, the candidate must:

Meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Academic regulations for graduate and postdoctoral studies;
Hold an undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Education, or another undergraduate degree that adequately prepares them for the studies they wish to undertake, or attest to training deemed equivalent;
Have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent.
