General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the Masters in Psychiatric Sciences and Addictology, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the average required by the original university for admission to a 2nd cycle program, if this is higher or the equivalent.
The student must have a good knowledge of French and English languages. The department may require proof of knowledge of French in the form of passing a French as a foreign language test.

Required training Satisfy at least one of the following conditions:

  • hold an undergraduate diploma or degree or equivalent in the appropriate discipline; Or
  • hold a doctor of medicine (MD) or dentistry (DMD) or veterinary medicine (DMV) degree; Or
  • hold any other appropriate training deemed equivalent.
