Thanks to the expertise developed by the Public Law Research Center (CRDP), the microprogram is at the cutting edge of development in this highly relevant field of theoretical and practical investigation and directly connected to a contemporary reality in full effervescence.

It is supported by the research and outreach activities of the LR Wilson Chair in Information Technology and Electronic Commerce Law and the Chair in Business Law and Electronic Security.

The development of communication techniques and the globalization of cybernetic environments are emerging as one of the major issues of our time: the synergistic union of information technology, audiovisual and telecommunications in fact provokes movements and upheavals to which the law cannot remain foreign.

From the production and circulation of information to legal computing, from information rights to media regulation, passing through commerce in dematerialized environments, the protection of data and that of intellectual products, the artistic production and, of course, the information highway, the questions abound, pose considerable challenges to the law and also force a reflection on the law itself, its functioning and its formalization.
