Masters in Kinesiology

The master's program in kinesiology deals with issues relating to the practice of physical and sporting activities, its effects on health and different measures of performance.

Kinesiology is a transdisciplinary field in which knowledge, mainly in human physiology, biomechanics, psychology and sociology, is applied, together with clinical skills, in the prevention of diseases or conditions and in the improvement of health and performance.

In a perspective of continuous and flexible training, this program aims to deepen the knowledge and improve the qualifications of professionals working in the field of kinesiology. The training offers the opportunity to deepen knowledge and its application in four options:

• General;
• Re-training of symptomatic populations;
• A physical training;
• Promotion of physical activity.

It also aims to develop knowledge to develop, promote and implement innovative interventions as well as to improve practices in various settings and with various populations. Through the important part given to the supervision of practical experiences in various professional settings, the program also aims to promote the transfer of knowledge and a positive impact on the population and the health system. By promoting critical reflection in the student, both on his intervention and on the scientific literature and practices in physical activity, the program aims to train the kinesiology professionals of tomorrow by perfecting and developing their skills.
