The program allows for the study of a wide variety of subjects and fields of research. History of Western and Eastern Philosophy, Ethics and Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Knowledge and Philosophy of Science, Continental Philosophy.
The Masters in Philosophy offers two options, General and College Philosophy. Both options require taking graduate seminars and writing a dissertation. The College Philosophy option also includes pedagogical training and internships in the college environment. The master's program provides general preparation for pursuing postgraduate studies in philosophy.

To be eligible as a regular student for the master's in philosophy, the candidate must:

meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Academic Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;
hold a bachelor's degree (BA) specializing in philosophy or a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in philosophy or an undergraduate degree adequately preparing for the studies he wishes to undertake, or an equivalent diploma ;
have obtained in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 (or the equivalent) or the average required by the home university for admission to a 2nd cycle program, if this one is higher
