Admission requirements

Undergraduate

To be eligible as a regular student for the M.Sc. (veterinary sciences), the candidate must:
  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Academic Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold an undergraduate doctorate in veterinary medicine (DMV), or a bachelor of science, or a diploma deemed equivalent in an appropriate discipline; however, only the DMV holder is eligible for the Laboratory Animal Medicine option
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 (or the equivalent) or the average required by the home university for admission to a 2nd cycle program, if this this is higher
  • have obtained confirmation that a professor from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine agrees to assume the direction of your research project

Candidates deemed to be non-French speakers must, if required by the Faculty, pass a French as a foreign language test. They must present a result of at least 605/990 on the International French Test (TFI) or B2 on the DELF, TCF or TEF, which are tests based on the proficiency levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​( CEFR), in oral comprehension, written comprehension and written production.
The candidate must have a good knowledge of English.
The right to practice veterinary medicine in Quebec may be required for the Clinical Sciences option.
