The master's degree is an initiation to research. Training at the M.Sc. level (pharmaceutical sciences) includes advanced courses and a predominant component in experimental research (planning, realization and interpretation), which takes the form of the writing and presentation of a dissertation.

Analysis option - To introduce the student to the development of analytical methodologies for the quantification of drugs and bioactive substances.
Medicinal Chemistry option - Introduce the student to the development of new therapeutic agents.
Pharmacology option - To initiate the student to research in fundamental or clinical pharmacology.
Pharmaceutical technology option - Introduce the student to the development of new pharmaceutical forms.
Pharmacogenomics option - To introduce the student to research in pharmacogenomics and proteomics.

To be eligible as a regular master's student with thesis, the candidate must:

meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Academic Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
hold a B. Sc. in biopharmaceutical sciences, Pharm. D. or a diploma adequately preparing for the studies he wishes to undertake or attesting to training deemed equivalent
have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
demonstrate a good knowledge of French and English
in addition to the official transcripts, the candidate must attach a motivation letter to his application for admission.
