The Masters in Public Health is a globally recognized program as it is the first Masters accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) in Canada.


The mission of ESPUM's master's in public health is to train competent public health professionals and researchers who will be able to intervene and contribute to the advancement of knowledge with regard to the health and well-being of populations. To achieve this, the program and its faculty conduct cutting-edge public health research and maintain active partnerships with organizations in the public health sector.

Its approach promotes the development of values ​​and rigorous ethical principles, allowing graduates to exercise their professional practice both in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada and around the world.

Admission requirements

Undergraduate

3.2+
To be eligible as a regular student for the M.Sc. (public health), the candidate must:
  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Academic Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold an undergraduate university degree in a field relevant to public health or a degree deemed equivalent
  • have obtained, in the 1st cycle, a cumulative average of at least 3.2 out of 4.3 or the equivalent

At the request of the Admissions Committee, applicants will be required to attend an interview.
Candidates with work experience have an advantage for eligibility for this degree program.
Have sufficient knowledge of spoken and written French.
Candidates deemed to be non-French speakers must, if required by the Faculty, pass a French as a foreign language test. They must present a result of at least 605/990 on the International French Test (TFI) or B2 on the DELF, TCF or TEF, which are tests based on the proficiency levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​( CEFR), in oral comprehension, written comprehension and written production.
Have a sufficient understanding of written English, several public health readings and reference materials are in English.
