The program aims to train researchers in mathematical or applied statistics for a career in academia, industry, medicine or government. It allows the student to acquire the advanced methodology used in the various fields of statistics.

To be eligible as a regular Ph.D. (statistics) student, the candidate must:
  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XX of the Academic Regulations) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold a M.Sc. (statistics), or a 2nd cycle diploma adequately preparing for the studies they wish to undertake, or attest to training deemed equivalent
  • have obtained in the 2nd cycle an average of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 or the equivalent

  • Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
