Bachelor of Literature in English and French Languages

Unique in Quebec, the Bachelor of Literature in English and French has three objectives:

• introduction to the analysis and criticism of texts
• the acquisition of knowledge on the literary and cultural production of English and French expressions around the world
• the improvement of the written and oral expression of the English and French languages

This program is aimed at those who already have a good knowledge of English and who wish to study the literatures, meeting points and specificities that separate and bind these languages. 

The double specialization of the baccalaureate can give access to higher cycles in French-language literature, English studies, and comparative literature. It makes it possible to undertake interdisciplinary programs at the 2nd and 3rd  cycles in letters and social sciences (humanities) within certain North American universities.

A synthesis seminar (FAS3000) examining critical theories in English and French is one of the highlights of the course.
