Bachelor's Degree in Teaching the Social Universe in Secondary School

The Bachelor's degree in teaching the social universe at the secondary level offers initial training allowing the future teacher to teach courses in the subject area of ​​the social universe at the secondary level, i.e. financial education, geography, history, citizenship education, and the contemporary world.
The role of the teacher of this discipline will be to familiarize young people with the functioning of society, identify its geographical space, its historical relativity and continuity, grasp its political issues, its values ​​and its diversity. It will train them to become critical and responsible citizens.
The four years of the program are organized according to the following themes:

• 1 st  year: Exploring the role of the teacher in teaching the social universe in secondary school in the Quebec school context 
• 2 nd  year: Learn about teaching practices in teaching the social universe in high school
• 3 rd year: Intervene and regulate one's practice in teaching the social universe in secondary school
• 4 th  year: Assuming the role of the teacher in teaching the social universe in secondary school in the classroom and in the school
