The specialized baccalaureate in environmental geography is located at the junction of the natural sciences and the social sciences.


It offers excellent basic training in human and physical geography, focusing on the theme of the environment and sustainable development. Its main objective is to give students a broader vision of geography while offering them the possibility of specializing in the environment, human geography, physical geography or geographic information science.


In the 2nd  year, the student will choose one of the 2 orientations below. Whatever the orientation chosen, the student is required to follow 2 courses in the field in the form of study trips.


Physical environment

The study of the components and mechanisms governing the evolution of natural geosystems (climate change, soil contamination, watershed dynamics, etc.).


Human environment

The study of the human being as an agent of transformation of environments and individual or group on which actions are exercised (metropolitan transformations, local or regional development, globalization, health, protected areas).


The Department of Geography moved to the new  Science Complex  in fall 2019.
