The Master of Nursing program was established in 1975 and in 1997 the focus of the program changed to Advanced Nursing Practice. The program prepares nurses for leadership roles in nursing and health care. The theoretical, experiential, and research basis for practice helps students demonstrate specialized clinical skills. Students in the master's program can enroll on a full or part-time basis in either a thesis or course-based route. We have temporarily paused admission to the Family All Ages and Adult MN NP entry to practice clinical streams of our MN program. We are undertaking significant curriculum revision in our graduate programs and are planning a new curriculum that will prepare Nurse Practitioners to meet the needs of Canadians and the health care system into the future.   This new curriculum will be developed during 2019-20 academic year and we anticipate an intake will occur in September 2020. We will be posting updates to this website as the curriculum progresses.
