Do you want to do anthropology in collaboration with partners outside the university like governments, companies, and NGOs? Are you interested in helping these organisations tackle a wide range of issues, such as: How can museums diversify their visitors? How can the municipality support bottom-up green initiatives better? Or how can care homes foster shared decision making? In Applied anthropology we let students do in-depth fieldwork and translate their findings to non-academic audiences.

Increasingly, anthropologists are hired in companies, NGOS and other institutions to conduct research and offer valuable advice. The insights and skills you gain during your research makes you well-equipped to set up and manage (research) projects, reach and communicate with different groups of people, as well as to accommodate both the wishes and demands of a partner organization with your own wishes and views as an Anthropological researcher.
