The Master’s in Language, Literature and Education is a one-year programme designed for students who are interested in teaching language and literature. You will specialise in one of seven major European languages or language families.

The programme is designed for students aiming to work or working in language teaching and learning, both nationally and internationally (see Career prospects). You will explore a number of features of foreign language and literature pedagogy and study the L2 classroom as a social setting. You will come to understand how theories of learning and teaching play out in real-world educational settings and how content and pedagogy are intertwined and best combined to create safe and effective learning environments for all students.

The Master's in Language, Literature and Education is an accredited degree programme of Linguistics. After successful completion of this programme, you will receive a legally accredited Master’s degree in Linguistics and the title Master of Arts (MA).
