With the central role corporations play within societies, it is essential to have a thorough understanding of the communication of both private and public organizations with their environment. The Corporate Communication track teaches you all about corporations’ communicative interplay with numerous stakeholders. Key themes central in this track are crisis communication, media relations, reputation management, corporations’ environmental sustainability, lobby activities, socio-political involvement of large corporations, and what organizations can learn from users’ online behavior.

An important question within Corporate Communication is: How are communication strategies being developed, approved, implemented, and what are the effects of those strategies on the public? On the one hand, the track focuses on external communication, teaching you how to build and maintain a corporate identity, legitimacy, and reputation. For example, the relationships with the press, public, media, and other stakeholders are discussed elaborately. On the other hand, the track focuses on communication within corporations, such as organizational culture, diversity within organizations, social media and employees, and how this all is implemented during change processes.
