Society's interest in the brain and mind has skyrocketed in recent years. This is partly thanks to increased scientific knowledge about the link between cognitive functions, like attention and memory, and performance in daily life; however, technological advances have also provided unprecedented insight into the brain's inner workings, along with new methods that enable continuous monitoring of behaviour or cognitive and physical functions (e.g. the Internet, wearables, smartphone apps).

This master's track will help you learn and hone skills to tackle important social issues using insights from the field of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. You will learn to set up applied experiments and translate empirical findings into practical advice.

The curriculum of the Brain and Cognition in Society master's track focuses on how theoretical and methodological knowledge from the field of Brain and Cognition can contribute to tackling social issues.
