Europe is facing a growing number of challenges on the world stage, ranging from the rise of emerging economies and new security concerns to the implications of Brexit. Based on theories of international relations, comparative politics and European integration, students will engage with the study of European and global governance from a variety of perspectives – the domestic, the regional/supranational, and the global. This programme aims to be empirically relevant by teaching how to apply theoretical concepts to some of the biggest political challenges facing Europe today. This programme is suitable for those wishing to pursue careers in the civil service, NGOs and charity work - require an MSc and some volunteer/internship experience.
