The MSc in Management (Operations and Project Management) is an intensive one-year programme that offers students a unique opportunity to develop their interest in operations and project management, while gaining a thorough grounding in the core management theories, concepts and skills that are essential for a career in management today. It will especially suit careers in manufacturing and production, and project-oriented areas such as consultancy, construction, product development or ICT. Students will start by studying management theory and techniques across a range of core subjects, including finance and accounting, organisational behaviour and strategic management. In term two students will start to apply their knowledge specifically to operations and project management by taking two dedicated units in these areas. Finally, in the summer term, the dissertation provides an opportunity for independent research and investigation into a particular challenge within operations and project management. This programme is designed for graduates of any discipline who aspire to a career in management and who have a particular interest in operations and project management.
