Postgraduate Overview

CU Boulder and its nationally and internationally ranked faculty have built a global reputation for outstanding teaching, research and creative work across more than 150 academic fields.

CU Boulder faculty are leaders in their fields and include:

- The 2004 and 2013 National Professor of the Year - 5 Nobel Laureates - 8 recipients of MacArthur Fellowships (also called the "Genius Grant") - 19 Rhodes Scholars - 69 faculty who are part of the National Academies of Science, Arts and Sciences, Engineering or Education - 100+ Fulbright fellows

Students have access to a wide scope of research opportunities. Eleven research institutes on campus conduct interdisciplinary investigations in such areas as environmental sciences, space studies, biotechnology, renewable energy, and behavioral science. Students participate in the research programs of faculty and in cooperative research programs with federal agencies, laboratories, and private industries.

Within CU Boulder's inclusive community, there are many ways to get involved and make lifelong friends. CU Boulder has one of the most active college campuses in the nation, where recreation, sports, and student groups play a key role in the unique CU Boulder experience. And, students have the opportunity to serve the greater good through volunteerism and civic engagement.
