The Dual Ph.D. in Mathematics and MS in Biostatistics is a joint effort of the Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics and the Department of Mathematics. Students enrolled in the dual degree program simultaneously work toward an MS in Biostatistics and a Ph.D. in Applied and Industrial Mathematics.  While all of the requirements of both the MS in Biostatistics and Ph.D. in Applied and Industrial Mathematics must be met, students enrolled in the dual degree program will be able to share up to 12 credit hours of coursework between degrees as well as simultaneously fulfill other degree requirements.
