The Community and Youth Work Studies BA (Hons) is a part-time degree which combines an honours degree with a professional qualification in youth work, training an individual to become a fully qualified youth worker. A professional Community and Youth’s role is to make a real difference to the lives of young people aged between 13 and 19. The role aims to promote these young people’s personal and social development, and empower them to make positive decisions for themselves and for their communities. This course is accredited by the National Youth Agency. Students will accumulate at least 888 hours in professional practice upon completion of this course. The second year provides an opportunity to complete one of the work placements in Germany.
