The Events Management with Integrated Foundation Year BA
(Hons) is a four-year version of the BA (Hons) Events Management course, with
an integrated foundation year. This course combines theoretical modules with
practical placements. Practical modules include 'Staging Events' in year 2 and
'Managing the Event' in year 3. Students will also organise events from day one
at University, and paid placements will help students gain critical knowledge
on the management of events as well as gain work experience. Teaching methods
include lectures, seminars, workshops, group work, fieldwork and e-learning. Assessment
methods include written coursework, projects, presentations, practical
exercises, time-constrained exams and a major project.
