Yamaguchi Prefectural University

The campus of YPU is located in Yamaguchi City, a city of 200,000 people in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The university itself is a four-year, small public university. Approximately 1,400 students attend YPU. Due to the university’s long history as a women’s university, 80 percent of the student population is female. The university consists of three faculties, the Faculty of Intercultural Studies, the Faculty of Social Welfare, the Faculty of Nursing and Human Nutrition, as well as two graduate faculties- Social Health Sciences and Welfare and Intercultural Studies.
