Zhangir khan West Kazakhstan Agrarian Technical University

Zhangir Khan University is located in the west of Kazakhstan, in an ecologically clean zone of the Uralsk city on an area of more than 30 hectares. It is a specialized campus including 5 institutes and 15 higher schools in the field of economics, agriculture and technical sciences. The educational process is carried out according to 84 accredited educational programs. Over more than half a century of history, the university has proved that its graduates are highly professional, including a sufficient number of leaders of large companies as well as those who hold high governmental positions.

The University proudly bears the name of Zhangir Khan - a fabulous person  who combined managerial talent and a passion for knowledge.  He is the first enlightener in the history of the Great Steppe. There is a museum of Zhangir Khan with many unique exhibits on the university campus.

Zhangir Khan University is a well-known state multidisciplinary university that carries out educational and scientific activities, conducts qualification advanced training and retraining of personnel for the agricultural and industrial sectors of economy, and actively affects the development of economy of the region and the country as a whole. Training is conducted in Kazakh and Russian, and English courses are available. Today the university conducts many research activities, being the center of livestock development in the Republic.

The university is actively expanding its network of foreign partners and is participating in the implementation of international Erasmus + projects.
