This programme is very similar to the Aerospace Engineering degree programmes (H425, H426, H421 and H422) but also introduces elements of relevant material for students interested in becoming either private or professional pilots. In Year One, the Pilot studies module, which is based on the Private Pilot’s License (PPL) ground school syllabus, is studied alongside the mandatory 20-hour flight training programme. You will need to pay an additional fee to cover the costs of this to the flight training organisation which is approximately £3,500 (subject to change due to fuel prices). In Year Two, the Pilot studies modules are based on the Air Transport Pilot’s Licence (ATPL) ground school syllabus.
