The MEarthSci Earth and Planetary Sciences with Research Placement course is a 4-year degree programme that allows students to spend a year outside Manchester working full-time in one of the world's leading research labs. During the research placement each student will become a scientist by producing original results at the forefront of his/her chosen field. After the year of research, students will return to Manchester and take Year 4 courses, including an independent research project. This course will focus on a holistic understanding of Earth systems in order to learn from the past, comprehend the present and influence the future.
