Novosibirsk is home to one of Russia’s most respected universities, Novosibirsk State University, which is located in the world-famous research center, Akademgorodok (‘Academic Town’).

In the survey used to compile the QS Best Student Cities ranking, one respondent shared what it’s like in Akademgorodok: “The atmosphere there is unique and amazing, probably the main reason for that is a huge amount of science centers and institutes, the university itself and, of course, the people.”
